OPINION: No Kings — The Protest That MAGA Can't Handle

At GOPocalypse-Now, we usually take a satirical swing at the circus of American politics. But sometimes satire isn’t enough. Sometimes you have to call it exactly what it is — dangerous, authoritarian, and an outright attack on democracy. This is one of those times.

As the No Kings protests fill the streets this week, the MAGA cult is in full meltdown mode. The irony is almost too rich. The people who spent years waving flags with one man’s name on it, storming the Capitol, and chanting “Stop the Steal” now want to lecture the rest of us on “peaceful protest” and “respect for democracy.” Spare me.

This isn’t a tantrum.
This isn’t a riot.
This is what real patriotism looks like: standing up against authoritarianism before it swallows the country whole.

The Cult Keeps Projecting

MAGA doesn’t even hide it anymore. They worship one man, not a country. Every chant, every flag, every conspiracy theory leads back to Donald Trump. The "party of law and order" became the party of insurrectionists, pipe bombs, judge threats, FBI attacks, kidnapping plots, and sedition — while pretending they’re the victims.

The talking points are so stale it's laughable:

• "Woke!"
• "Libtard!"
• "Snowflake!"
• "Let’s Go Brandon!"
• "Stop the Steal!"

It’s like watching malfunctioning pull-string dolls programmed in 2016, repeating the same phrases as the country moves on without them.

This Is What We're Actually Protesting

We’re out here because this isn’t about Trump anymore. It’s about the cancer he injected into American politics — one where loyalty to the country has been replaced with loyalty to him. One where the rule of law only applies to everyone else.

We’re out here because:

• No man is above the law.
• The Constitution is not optional.
• The presidency isn’t a throne.
• This is still a republic — not a cult.

No Kings — Not Now, Not Ever

In 1776, we fought a war to get rid of a king. We didn’t fight that war to let another wannabe dictator steal the country by force, lies, and violence.

MAGA isn’t patriotism.
It’s a coward’s comfort zone — where blame replaces responsibility, rage replaces facts, and submission replaces freedom.

And Here’s the Hard Truth

You don’t have to like our protests.
You don’t have to like our signs, our chants, or our shirts.

But you will face this truth:

• Trump lost.
• He’s a criminal.
• The cult is shrinking.
• And we’re not backing down.

No Kings. No Dictators. No Cults. Ever.
